EUROPE, MY LOVE

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” -Ernest Hemingway

remember when i wrote about how i fell in love with london here, here, here, here and here? well, my love is so strong that nothing could keep me away. which is why i'll be traveling to london as well as some other beautiful countries with my dear friend, emily (check out her new blog) this coming december and january. i will be spending new years eve in paris for the second time. champagne, the eiffel tower or any other location, and lots of dancing (because, duh)! i'm too excited.

there are only a handful of things i love more than traveling and i always feel the most alive and creative when on a new adventure. the excitement of not knowing who you might meet along the way. the strolls taken in unknown streets. the foreign voices that fill the air. the sense of freedom that comes with not knowing where you are. getting lost and scrambling to figure out how in the world you are going to get back to your flat in freezing and raining weather (it's actually really funny now). eating all the carbs you see because those delicacies are not the same back at home. the culture. the beauty. nothing compares. i'm a traveler at heart.
